Patiala Health Foundation

 

 

 

The Patiala Health Foundation is a public chartiable organization approved by the IRS on Feburary 2nd, 2004. It is registered in Hancock County, West Virginia. The organization now has its chapter in Patiala, India that is also registered as a charitable organization.

 

The organization assists the poor by raising funds to build trauma centers in third world countries. Trauma centers built by the organization provide services for no charge to poor people and for discounted ammounts to persons who cannot afford such services.

 

Project Brief

 

 

 

Patiala Health Foundation has shifted its plans from original project to build an ultra modern trauma center at Government Medical College and Rajindra Hospital now to establish a mobile trauma unit and ambulance service be executed by Patiala Health Foundation and its Patiala chapter. We will have an ultra modern fully loaded ambulance that will operate within the 30 kilometres radius around city of Patiala. Local private hospitals have the requisite trained staff on their rolls and the services of this trained staff would be used for the ambulance. These hospitals will be on the panel of Patiala Health Foundation. These hospitals, in rotation will be required to provide the services of the trained staff for the ambulance on call basis.These hospitlas will be compensated by Patiala Health Foundation for their services. The ambulance will pick up the staff and proceed to the place of call/ accident. A qualified doctor will also be on the panel of the ambulance from the hospital to accompany the ambulance. There will be a 24 hour toll free telephone service available to answer all calls. Two drivers and two attendents will be enrolled to cover 24 hours duty in rotation

 

Patiala Health Foundation will also run other charitable projects such as free eye clinics other healthcare related service in Punjab, India.
